Where the Passion Begins

Amanda Kopp
4-year-old Teacher & Educational Leader
Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am the teacher in the 4-year-old program and the Educational Leader at Doncaster East Preschool.
As both a teacher and a mum to two children, I understand how important these early years are in building confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
My philosophy is to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging.
I believe play is the foundation of learning and enjoy supporting children as capable, curious learners who thrive through exploration and discovery.

Claire Denadic
3-year-old Teacher & Nominated Supervisor
Hi, my name is Claire and I am a qualified kinder teacher. I joined the Doncaster East Pre School in 2021 and instantly felt at home. As a teacher, I aim to provide all students with a warm, caring, engaging, encouraging and fun learning environment which ensures all children are given the opportunities and stimulation to reach their individual goals and become lifelong learners. In my spare time I volunteer with local community groups, spend time with family and friends and I love to go on adventures with my 3-year-old daughter and spending time out in nature.

Selika Harris
3 & 4-year-old Educator
Hi, my name is Selika, I am a Diploma qualified Educator and have been working in childcare for 10 years. I am so excited to be part of the Doncaster East Preschool community and I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the children and their families. I believe that all children deserve a high quality education and a warm, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for them to develop their personalities and skills. I love watching children grow and learn.

Gemma Iacuone
4-year-old Educator
Hi my name is Gemma. I have a Diploma in Children’s Services and I have been working with children since 2007. My husband and I have three children; Ava, Olivia and Luke. We enjoy trips to the beach, dance parties in the kitchen and cooking together. I enjoy making connections with children and being a part of their safe space away from home. As children learn, grow and develop, helping them feel seen, heard and valued is very important to me.
I believe all children should have access to quality education in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment and I strive to uphold these values each day.

Jade Boyhan
3-year-old Educator
Hi, I'm Jade - a creative educator with a deep passion for inclusive, child-centered learning. I believe children thrive when they're given the space to explore their curiosity, an environment that celebrates their individuality, and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with others.
My practice is grounded in the belief that every child grows, discovers, and flourishes in their own time and in their own way - and that it's our role to meet them exactly where they are.
I have a particular interest in child wellbeing, and am currently studying psychology to deepen my understanding of child development, attachment, and social-emotional learning. I believe that the more we understand the 'why' behind children's feelings and needs, the better we can support them to truly grow and feel secure.
I also have a great love of music and movement, and as an avid dancer, I jump at every chance to bring that joy into Kinder. There's something truly special about watching children light up through song and rhythm.
I'm so excited to be joining the Doncaster East Preschool community and can't wait to get to know each child and their family.
Pikying Soo

I have a Bachelor of Science degree and have always wanted to do something in a different field. I am now the Administration Officer at Doncaster East Pre-School and delighted to be able to continue to contribute to the school where my child also attended in 2021-2022 during which I volunteered on the Committee of Management as Fundraising Coordinator.
