4-Year-Old Kindergarten
Four-year-old kindergarten is an important step in the early education process, offering numerous opportunities for children to refine their social skills and become increasingly independent. Our play-based program is designed to encourage children to explore, problem-solve, communicate openly with peers and teachers, think, create, learn and have fun. Our program is developed in line with children’s interests and understandings, and celebrates their individuality and family backgrounds. Our teaching staff aim to encourage children to experience wonder and develop a love of learning. Our educators have a good understanding of school readiness, and we work with children to help them become confident and resilient individuals who are enthusiastic about their learning.
We are also excited to be introducing a bush kindergarten program which will be held off site and will provide valuable opportunities for children to explore the natural environment. This offsite program will run between April and November (outside of this time the sessions will be held onsite). The program will only be cancelled, and instead held onsite, in instances of severe weather conditions (i.e. electrical storms, forecast temperatures of over 36 degrees Celsius, winds forecast at a speed in excess of 45kms an hour).

4-year-old kindergarten is Government funded. Government funding helps to keep the fees associated with attending the kindergarten affordable to families. In order to be eligible for a funded position the child must be 4 years of age by the 30th of April in the year they attend. (It is possible to defer entry until the following year).
Please note that your child can only be funded for a kindergarten place at one service at any one time. Your child can be funded for only one year of three and four year old kindergarten after which they will transition to either the four year old program or school (unless your child is assessed as being eligible for a second funded year by your child’s kindergarten teacher).
Fee Subsidies
Fee relief is available to families holding a current Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card. Full details are available on request.
