Our Programs
At Doncaster East Pre-School we value each child as a unique individual and this is reflected in all aspects of our kindergarten program. Activities are planned and chosen by our educators to build each child’s confidence, independence and sense of belonging. Through our observations and interactions with the children as well as our communications with families and the wider community we are able to plan and adapt a kindergarten program that best reflects the interests, ideas and developmental needs of the children in each group.
We are also excited to be introducing a bush kindergarten program which will be held off site and will provide valuable opportunities for children to explore the natural environment. This offsite program will run between April and November. The program will only be cancelled, and instead held onsite, in instances of severe weather conditions (i.e. electrical storms, forecast temperatures of over 36 degrees Celsius, winds forecast at a speed in excess of 45kms an hour).
Koala Group
Our Koala Group is a funded three-year-old kindergarten program. Children attend for 15 hours a week over three days. Our Koala Group will have a maximum of 25 children with three staff members. A qualified kindergarten teacher and two qualified early childhood educators.

Kangaroo Group
Our Kangaroo Group is a funded four-year-old program. Children attend for 15 hours a week over three days. A maximum of 28 children will be enrolled in this group with three staff members. A qualified kindergarten teacher and two qualified early childhood educators.

N.B. In the event that a group has 22 children or less, that group will be run by two staff members. A qualified kindergarten teacher and a qualified early childhood educator.
